Monobrow was formed in Ottawa early 2009 when bassist Sam Beydoun and guitarist Paul Slater (formerly of Vancouver’s Sir Hedgehog) first jammed with drummer Brian Ahopelto of Acres fame. Sharing a common love for adventurous, underground heavy rock in its many guises, the group quickly built up an impressive repertoire of original songs over the next few months.

Sam came to me looking for some design work for a potential album cover. What we ended up with was a unique design that spoke to the band and the genre. The background is a high resolution scan of a very old painting and the writing is a ghostly fat psychadelic style font. If you’re a fan of good music, check these guys out!

Making Blogging Beautiful

The WDWStudios team is proud to unveil the successful and elegant looking blog that we designed and published for my wife Julie. The goal was to create something with the ease of “pick up and go” functionality. The result is a classy site where she can easily post her articles and maintain it without the need of consulting the pros. The beauty of the blog is that anyone can use it and get comfortable with the control panel. Julie had no prior experience running a Word Press blog and now is as well if not more well versed in the coding than I am.

Darchorse site launch

WDWStudios is proud to launch the new Darchorse website. This was a basic job that enabled the customer to gain a form of e-commerce visibility. Using an elegant theme, we were able to set up an easy to navigate and informative website for someone who didn’t want to spend a lot of money to gain internet exposure.

As usual, WDWStudios implemented it’s SEO techniques and marketing initiatives as part of the website package and will continue to monitor and maintain the website for the client.

wdwstudios is adding the final touches to it’s first endeavor into the construction of an adult site. Our client has been particular of what she wants and the site has been a lot of fun creating. Once again, our client was sold on the ColdStone theme made by elegant themes dot com. All we did is tweak the word press to allow the disclaimer splash screen and embedded the HTML form for potential clients.

The TCM Network

The Couch Mercenaries project was one that involved a complete website overhaul. The code was pulled and reformatted to optimize search engine friendliness. All logos and images were custom built by wdwstudios as well as new flash, PHP and SQL elements were added to make it more user friendly.

C&C Transportation

The C&C project utilized tasteful flash sequences along with traditional HTML to provide an elegant yet functional website that showcases their business. The site was fully translated in both English and french and supports rich meta-tags that will only improve the sites rank as it matures with major search engines.
